Jeanne Huiett, with Hope International Ministries, has acquired 4 private homes that will be utilized as group homes for 17 year olds that are leaving the foster care system. Rather than being released from care and having to fend immediately on their own, Jeanne will give these youth the opportunity to migrate into the community via a group home environment, providing for their most basic needs such as food and shelter. " I want to be there for them...help them in any way I can," says Jeanne. "If they want to go to college, I will find a way to make it happen."

The Care For Kids Foundation has responded to a grant request from Hope International Ministries with a check in the amount of $10,000 towards their foster care initiatives.

Michael Thierwechter, President (r) presents R. Kent Baker with a token of appreciation from the Foundation Board Members for his ten years of service to the Care For Kids Foundation as President and Founding Board Member. Kent has moved into the Treasurers position and will continue to serve on the Board of Directors.
